Five years ago, I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. I did everything the doctors told me to. I ate healthy. I exercised regularly. I cut back on sugar, tracked my meals, went for runs three times a week. But nothing moved the needle. My A1C stayed elevated. My energy stayed low. I was doing everything right, and getting nowhere.

Then, 4 months ago, a blood test came back with a number that stopped me cold: my biological age was 71. At the time, I was only 51.

I have young kids. The data said I had about 10 years left. I was not prepared to leave them early.
